Manager of Marketing and Public Relations

The Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Delaware's only professional orchestra, seeks a motivated, energetic and personable Manager of Marketing and Public Relations.  Experience in the Delaware markets a plus; knowledge of orchestral repertoire is very helpful.  Must have experience in planning and implementing marketing and publicity plans within a limited budget and tight timelines.  Responsible for all aspects of marketing and publicity from planning, to design, to implementation of all DSO collateral.  Tracking of campaign results towards goals, budget building and year end projections experience essential.  Ability to build and maintain positive relationships in all public relations aspects also essential.  This is a full-time salaried position with an excellent benefits package.

Electronic Media Coordinator

The Delaware Symphony Orchestra seeks a part-time Electronic Media Coordinator to expand its online marketing efforts, maintaining the relevance of its current online avenues and exploring ways to increase visibility.  Responsibilities include design, implementation and maintenance of online marketing efforts such as website, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and blogging.  Knowledge and experience in social media outlets and web design is essential.  Strong written communication skills necessary.  General knowledge of classical music very helpful.

Volunteer & Employment Opportunities
Opportunities at the Delaware Symphony Orchestra include internships, volunteer work, opportunities to serve on our committees or to become members of our board.

Volunteers
Volunteers are welcomed to work in the library, education department, operations department, development department, finance department, marketing and PR office, and to perform general office tasks. To volunteer, please contact Development Associate Brittany Snyder to find out where your help might be most valuable.

Internships
Internships are provided to students in high school and college on a regular basis to focus on their areas of interest within the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and the greater non-profit world. Internships are available in the library, development department, finance department, marketing and PR office, and to help perform general office tasks and special projects.
