Create a gift through a variety of options, including:
Bequest by Will or Trust
You may choose to make provisions for the Delaware Symphony through bequests in your will. You may specify an amount; a named property; a percentage of estate; or the remainder of estate after other specific requests, or contingent upon certain circumstances. Please contact us for specific language you may use to remember the Delaware Symphony Orchestra in your will.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
The Charitable Remainder Trust involves the irrevocable transfer of assets to a managed trust that will provide income for life or for a specific number of years. At the end of the term, the trust assets are distributed to the Delaware Symphony Orchestra. You may select the trustee who manages the assets of the trust.
Gift Annuity and Deferred Gift Annuity
A Gift Annuity involves a gift of cash or property in exchange for a fixed income for the life of one or two beneficiaries. An annuity offers significant benefits to an individual or couple such as tax deductions, guaranteed income for life and a good rate of return.
Charitable Lead Trust
The Lead Trust involves the transferring of assets to a trust that pays income to the Delaware Symphony Orchestra for a fixed term. At the end of the term, the assets are returned to you or your named beneficiary.
Retirement Assets
Name the Delaware Symphony Orchestra as beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k) or other qualified retirement assets and reduce the size of your taxable estate and avoid subjecting your estate or beneficiaries to income taxation on those assets.
Life Insurance
There are several ways to give life insurance, including naming the Delaware Symphony Orchestra as beneficiary of a new or existing policy, assigning the Delaware Symphony Orchestra as owner of no-longer-needed paid-up or partially paid policy, or taking out a new policy with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra as owner.
