What Are My Pre-Concert Dining Options?

For Wilmington concerts, Market Street and the surrounding Downtown Business District offer a variety of delectable restaurants, all within a short walk of The Grand. The fare ranges from traditional American to fusion to upscale dining.  Many offer locally sourced food and drink as well.

In addition, The Grand Opera House offers a full bar and concessions onsite, but please note: ALL Grand Opera House concessions are CASHLESS (i.e., electronic payment only).

A sampling of some of our favorite Wilmington restaurant choices include:

  • The Quoin Hotel (located at 6th & Market Streets) is the Official Hotel of The Delaware Symphony Orchestra. The hotel houses a full-service restaurant, a speakeasy on the bottom floor (called Simmer Down), and a scenic rooftop bar. Dining discounts are available for DSO patrons at The Quoin restaurant on concert performance days; bring your DSO print program to validate.
  • Chelsea Tavern (located directly across Market Street from The Grand)
  • Stitch House Brewery (also across Market Street from The Grand)
  • DE.CO (a multi-venue food hall located inside the DuPont Building at 10th & Market Streets)
  • Bardea Food & Drink (located a few blocks down Market Street from The Grand at 6th & Market Streets)
  • La Fia (located a short walk away at 4th & Market Streets, across from The Queen)

For Lewes performances at Cape Henlopen High School, there are a number of restaurants in and around downtown Lewes, with some fun options nearby to the school.

Some of our favorites in the Lewes area are:
